What is Knowledge?
- Is it not something that gave you an understanding of everything?
- Is it not something that gave you a sense of recognition?
Knowledge What everyone seeks, desires, and wants. Knowledge has
many forms.
Surprisingly, today in safety we have forgotten the very basic. We
have a complicated system, sophisticated them in the name of technology and learning.
Is a knowledgeable person the one that explains things that no
one can understand?
- Then why our systems are so complex, our reports so complex that
if you give it to the operator he cannot understand.
- As per legal requirements in safety management workers play an equal
role, but we consider them low in knowledge. For he cannot prepare a report. And why
you need it?
- Any document prepared is simple data inputs, that can be analyzed,
measured and action can be taken to improve the overall score.
In one of recent PSM (Process Safety Management) Class We
discussed one 3 Elements,
- Man (Actions, the role of Men)
- Machine (Operations, transfer, processing, packing)
- Material. (processed, transferred, stored)
Is it not simple to define each role, responsibility, and actions?
In these simple steps, can anyone tell me if there is any other element? We
explained these simple Three M.M.M. & the result is the same.
Legal compliances? Most asked question? the answer is very simple:
Each compliance requires data to be presented in terms of recorded information
that is "need to know basis". So what’s so complicated about it. There are some
simple forms, fill in the form and present it.
When ISO systems came core basic was to ensure things are
documented in such a way that operations can be performed with the same
efficiencies.
